Rare and unusually attractive for this difficult issue. Die break on the obverse, otherwise, very fine.


This issue is sometimes attributed to the small island of Lopadusa (Lampedusa), situated between Malta and Tunisia, but a final conclusion over its origin has not been reached to date.
